International Association Of Fire Fighters

To encourage participation in rescue, emergency medical service, firefighting, prevention, and related activities for the general public; to secure for its members just compensation for their services; to promote safety and just and reasonable working conditions; to encourage its members to seek knowledge and skills in modern and improved methods of emergency response and prevention; to cultivate friendship and fellowship among its members; to promote public awareness and support of the organization and its goals by community involvement and charity; to occassionally support political candidates and local legislative measures that reflect the goals of the organization and its members; and to uphold the constitution and by-laws of the international association of fire fighters afl-cio, clc.
