Mission
The goal of the association is to promote the appreciation and desirability of the pastel medium as a fine art medium by the general public, art museums and galleries, collectors, art publishers, and artists, the association is a membership organization which supports its member pastel art societies, whose members are individual pastel artists.
Programs
2 programs
Iaps holds 2 exhibitions each year: one was held online and the other at the convention.
Iaps publishes a periodical each quarter ("the globe") which we make available to the public including all the artist members of our member societies through links on our website. The globe contains educational articles about pastel technique and history, technical aspects of the medium, and art topics of interest to artists, appreciators and collectors. We also produce educational videos for artists hosted on the education/video library page of our website.
