Environmental sustainability programsiapd's environmental and sustainability programs seek to educate the performance plastics industry on mechanical and advanced recycling best practices, esg frameworks and sustainability programs and initiatives. Iapd has current and past member working groups that build member resources in these areas, including the environmental committee, the recycling task force and the sustainability task force. Iapd's efforts are to both educate its members on sustainability as well as promote the sustainability benefits of performance plastics materials and applications to the broader public and end-use markets, as well as support iapd's legislative advocacy efforts.

Iapd educationiapd's educational programs include those within the iapd university, including the online certificate programs, live and recorded technical webinars, performance plastics live in-person training, and other virtual training programs from iapd's various initiatives, including the women in plastics, generationnext, sustainability champions, small distributor + fabricator roundtables or government relations & advocacy or other iapd programs.
