Mission
Educational trade association for the pet care service industry. We provide educational materials, set industry standards, and provide programs to include: conferences, webinars, and the facilitation of educational meetings.
Programs
5 programs
Certification programs in which the organization provides educational programs that come with certification and continuing educational units. These programs are species specific: canine, feline, avian, small mammal/exotics. Programs are delivered via online learning software, and certification at completion of exams. Facilities seeking risk management & safety certification must meet application requirements and are required to have an onsight facility review by a qualified analyst. Once certification is achieved, the facility must stand for annual reviews and receive an onsight review every three years to maintain certification. Continuing education credits (ceu's) can be earned for the owner/operator/employees through third party certification within the industry.
Educational materials available through the online store. These educational materials are meant for the small business owner to implement in their businesses for education of their employees. Subject matter can include safety standards to include osha and hazcom, operational procedures, best practices, financial & accounting, and continuing education credits (ceu's) for third party certification within the industry.
Annual members dues: these are annual amounts collected from provider members and vendors to provide monthly educational webinars, weekly newsletters, industry surveys and updates. Provider members are encouraged to participate fully in the association by attending educational programs, contributing their knowledge through committee work, and participating in member meetings. Vendors are encouraged to reach out to membership to provide needed educational materials, product specials, and participate fully in the association.
Rebate program: members can participate in rebate program with member vendors, rebate based on percentage of purchase receipts.
Educational programs available through an online learning management system (lms): these programs are built for employees of pet care service businesses. Each program is specifically designed to teach the proper care of a specific species of pet. In 2024, these educational programs were approved for continuing education credits for third party certification within the industry.
