The objective of the union is to cherish, protect, and promulgate the interest and rights of workers, to unite more closely members of their calling; to enable efficient workers to obtain wages proportionate to their labor; to enable employers to obtain the best workers; to cultivate and improve the social ties existing between members of their craft; to abolish injurious priviledges to elevate the standing of their craft; and to bring all under constraint of wholesome duty.
