Mission

The international federation of psychoanalytic societies(ifps) is composed of 24 member societies and two study groups. The main focus is an open platform for the interchange of clinical, therapeutic, and socio-cultural exchange. This is relevant to psychoanalysis in a non-dogmantic way through educational forums held every two years hosted by a member society. The ifps continues to disseminate the relevance of psychodynamic thinking to both human interaction and society. The ifps pursues its task without striving for any material profit. The ifps promotes psychoanalytical training and practice through the dissemination of psychoanalytic theory at educational forums and exchange amongst member societies. The ifps is committed to pluralism in psychoanalytic theory and practice.
