Employment: iia provides comprehensive employment counseling and advisory services to support the integration and self-sufficiency of immigrants and refugees in greater akron and northeast ohio. Services include individualized employment case management and skill assessment, development of a family self-sufficiency contract and budget, orientation to the world of work and u.s. Workplace understanding, job clubs, and targeted esol and skill development. Additional services include helping clients overcome key employment barriers such as transportation and childcare. The iia employment services team has also established relationships with over 80 employers in the northeast ohio region to support talent recruitment and development. In 2024, 79% of the 418 refugee clients were self-sufficient within 180 days of arrival. Iia's employment programs are funded through state and federal contracts.

Interpreting and translation services: interpreting, translation and cultural competency services are offered to assist immigrants, refugees, and local service providers in the greater akron area in overcoming language and cultural barriers in communication. 5,400 hours of interpreting and translation services were provided in 2024.
