To unite all workers employed in the Trade under its jurisdiction; to improve their wages and hours of work; to better living conditions of its members through (a) job security (b) collective bargaining (c) promoting laws to benefit members and labor in general (d) promoting and maintaining welfare programs and (e) instilling the spirit of good citizenship and loyalty to country among members, their families, and others within the labor movement.
