Research and patient careipc launched a new research committee and developed a pilot research fellowship program to strengthen research capacity. A global survey gathered insights from nearly 200 psoriasis researchers to inform ipc's research agenda. Publications in 2024 included an international consensus statement on generalized pustular psoriasis (gpp), a skin-of-color literature review, and manuscripts in development on special sites such as the scalp and nails. Ipc also formed a digital health committee to explore early detection and real-world data strategies, including plans for a survey and expert commentary publication.ipc does not provide direct clinical care but advances patient outcomes by supporting clinicians through tools, guidelines, and training. In 2024, ipc actively worked to improve access to medicines by collaborating with ilds to support the inclusion of biologics on the who essential medicines list. The organization also contributed to the who's updated global report on psoriasis through advocacy efforts with ifpa and national health ministries. Ipc is finalizing a proposal to address treatment guideline gaps globally and regionally, prioritizing implementation and updates where guidance is lacking.
