Programs
3 programs
Government affairs and issues management: in the government and public policy arena, ispa serves as an informed, unified and industry voice to legislators, regulators, and the public. The association has actively cultivated successful collaborative relationships with federal and state regulatory agencies, industry and trade groups, and the scientific community on emerging and ongoing issues affecting members of the industry.
Trade expositions, meetings and education: the association's expo is the industry's premier tradeshow where bedding manufacturers from all over the world meet to see the newest and best in machinery, equipment, components, supplies and services. It is held biennially in even years. Ispa holds an executive conference in odd years called the ispa industry conference and a sustainability conference annually.
Member service reports and management tools: ispa provides a variety of exclusive management reports by which members can measure and improve their own practices and performance. Using the "annual report and sales statistics", ispa members can guage the health of the industry, estimate equipment and workplace needs to meet projected sales figures, and benchmark their company's performance against their peers. The "econometric forecast", issued in the spring and fall of each year, provides an overview of the industry's health in relation to the larger furniture industry, and serves as an excellent tool for short and long-term business planning. Each month, "ispa's sales trend report" compares national and regional sales trends with data from the past four years. Bedding industry professionals have come to depend on ispa's timely management reports to improve their practice and financial performance in the increasingly competitive efficiency-driven market for sleep products. The "annual cost survey", the "bienniel wage survey", and the "biennial management compensation and benefits survey" offer valuable data to help companies control costs and meet the demands of an increasingly limited labor market.
