International Society For Heart & Lung Transplants

Journal: the society publishes a monthly journal dedicated to advances in the field of intrathoracic organ transplantation, support, and replacement.

Registry: the society manages two transplant registries, the international registery for mechanically assisted circulatory support (imacs) and the international thoracic organ transplant (ttx) registry. The registries promote scientific investigations and publications based on analyses of multinational data.

Academies: for the purpose of developing an enduring resource of education in core competencies and masters' level expertise in the fields of cardiopulmonary transplantation, mechanical and biological support of the failing heart, and advanced lung disease (including pulmonary vascular disease), the society hosts a varying number of academies annually. These educational programs include educational presentations and facilitated discussion designed to foster knowledge sharing to improve patient outcomes.

The society has various other programs that include governance, grants and awards, membership, and other programs.
