ISPE is dedicated to educating and advancing pharmaceutical manufacturing professionals and their industry. ISPE provides an inviting and neutral environment for experts, technologists, regulators, consultants, and students to exchange ideas and practical experience.
Programs

The organization has a sponsorship program in which individuals and organizations can contribute to an annual sponsorship package to further the mission of the local Life Sciences community. Sponsorship funds received contribute to the overall promotion of the chapters educational and program events that target to address the trending topics in life sciences, updates to Baseline Guides that govern current industry manufacturing practices, special interest groups such as Women in Pharma (WIP) and Communities of Practice (CoP), etc. During 2024, there were 34 program sponsors.
Contributions were made as follows in 2024: Pennsylvania Drug Discovery Institute = $5,500 The mission of the PDDI is to provide service to the scientific community, such as workplace re-entry assistance for displaced researchers in the pharma/biotech industry, networking activities, and support of entrepreneurship. ISPE Foundation = $60,000 The organization donated $60,000 to establish a scholarship fund to provide financial educational assistance to students who are from diverse racial & cultural backgrounds and are seeking a career in the pharmaceutical industry. Future City Philadelphia = $1,000 Engineers Club of Philadelphia = $500
Annual golf outing promotes industry networking and camaraderie amoung ISPE DVC members and industry partners. This event has provided a collaborative platform on the golf course among industry professionals outside of the office/formal setting The 2024 event was attended by 160 participants.
Other chapter events & programs include support for tomorrows leaders through local ISPE Student Chapters, Women in Pharma, Emerging Leaders, educational events, and publication of a newsletter distributed to 5,731 contacts. During 2024, the organization hosted 21 events: 11 educational events, 10 social events. Emerging Leaders held 4 events attended by 120 participants, WIP held 4 events attended by 37 particpants.
