Membership - as a professional scientific society, isv assesses membership dues. In addition to providing members the opportunity to interact with scientific colleagues at isv's congress (where members pay a reduced registration fee), members receive the society's members-only newsletter, have the opportunity to participate in society committees that focus on education and mentoring of trainees and junior scientists, organize on-line and regional symposia, and have increased opportunities to establish scientific collaborations through participation in the society's activities.
