Represent power fastening industry (nails, staples, and tools that drive them). Sponsor a safety standard on power tools & develop & distribute safety training mat'ls for users. Active in development and maintenance of fastener tech standards and fastening schedules, as for building codes.

Tool safety. Industry participation with the safety community, regulators and standard developing organizations to improve safe use of power fastening tools. Includes maintenance of safety standards on design, construction, installation, use and maintenance of tools. Includes development and distribution of training materials for users and safety trainers. Includes development of regulations to promote safe workplaces and safe tool use. Includes development and maintenance of safety standards on product warning labels and safety-related warnings, instructons and messages.
Annual meeting. Meeting provides an opportunity for members to discuss development, maintenance and trends of standards, codes and practices, covering safety and product performance and usage in the many industries using nails and staples. Allows development of industry response to existing and anticipated issues and opportunities. Allows discussion of business conditions and trends affecting fastener and fastener driving tool industries.
