Mission

The ITEA mission has not changed in its 44 years - we continue to advance the exchange of technical, programmatic, and acquisition information among the test and evaluation community. However, in 2023, the ITEA board conducted a year-long strategic planning session and began the implementation process in 2024 on how ITEA can grow the future workforce of test and evaluation. The implantation plan was sorted into three categories: Financial, Workforce, and Membership - A Director took the lead on each category and formed a sub-committee to investigate ways to improve the goals of the association. The association leaders sparked enthusiasm and participation from our membership - focusing on the early career members, to understand what they were looking for in a professional and educational association. This was an extremely productive year!

Membership: The membership of ITEA is comprised of 1,070 individual and corporate members. Individuals can grow their professional networks, engage with industry leaders, build skills, and expand their resumes. Individual members also receive discounted rates for all ITEA events and training sessions, and complimentary access to the online archived issues of the ITEA Journal of Test and Evaluation. Corporate members gain industry visibility, business connections and stand out in the professional community. They receive a listing in the Corporate Capabilities Directory, a web link from the ITEA website, discounts on exhibit booths, sponsorships, and registration fees at ITEA events, and discounts on job postings, in addition to many other benefits.

Expenses: $342K

Annual Symposium: Our annual symposium continues to be the event that culminates a year-long of learning by bringing together leaders in our industry to speak to our members. Our volunteers were ready to provide a technical program with guest speakers, panel discussions, technical breakout sessions, several tutorial offerings, and networking opportunities and after a year of planning - they exceeded expectations with a vibrant and robust program. This event brings in our non-US members and leaders within industry, academia and government.

Expenses: $236K

LIFT Users Forum: In 2024, the International Test and Evaluation Association (ITEA) entered into a collaborative arrangement with William Thomas Consulting, led by CEO Dr. Scott Foisey, an active ITEA member, to support an educational event for the Test and Evaluation (T&E) community in Virginia Beach. Dr. Foisey hosted the LIFT Users Forum, an event designed to share the current and future state of the Leverage Innovations, Frameworks, and Technologies (LIFT) ecosystem and to gather the ?voice of the customer? from system users. LIFT is a digital ecosystem that supports teams of any size and mission, enabling collaboration and lifecycle management from concept through sustainment. It integrates tools such as JIRA and Confluence to foster agile workflows, streamline project tracking, and enhance communication. LIFT provides an environment where teams can create dynamic pages, design workflows, and generate reports that effectively communicate organizational data to stakeholders. The ITEA Board of Directors approved the LIFT Users Forum as an official ITEA-supported event and incorporated it into the annual budget. ITEA provided logistical and administrative support, including participant registration and event hosting on the ITEA website. To help offset the costs associated with the use of ITEA?s registration database and on-site support, ITEA received $5,000 from William Thomas Consulting. The collaboration successfully advanced professional development and knowledge-sharing within the T&E community while showcasing innovative digital practices that enhance efficiency and team performance across programs and organizations.

Expenses: $50K

Grants/Scholarships: Our association not only provides education to the professionals in the field of test and evaluation, but we also provide financial aid to those qualifying students attending or scheduled to attend an institution of higher learning ie., Universities, Colleges, and Community Colleges in technical fields such as the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematical STEM program or STEAM program including the Arts. These students are the future workforce in our industry, and we strive to engage the youth in the potential career opportunities in the test and evaluation community. We also offer the opportunity for the institutions to purchase needed equipment that has the potential to impact their technical curriculum. The ITEA scholarship program is administered by the leadership at the ITEA Chapters with the assistance of the ITEA Executive Office and under the cognizance of the Board of Directors. In 2024, four scholarship checks were written to 4 schools, totaling $8,000.
