Mission

To maximize the effectiveness of the worldwide Tibet movement, which is dedicated to ending human rights violations in Tibet, and to actively supporting the Tibetan people's right under international law to determine their own political, economic, social, religious and cultural status.

Meetings and Conferences. During 2024, there were a series of meetings and conferences for the purposes of strategic planning and capacity building (see below). These included a European Regional Meeting which took place in Bristol, UK (August), an Asia Regional Meeting in Dharamsala, India (October), and an Americas Regional Meeting in Mexico City, Mexico. We further held a one-day meeting in conjunction with an international Tibet Support Group Conference in Brussels, Belgium (February). We additionally took part in a number of conferences on climate change and international human rights. We continued to host regular weekly online meetings for member groups as well as regular campaign working group session.

Expenses: $92K

Training and Capacity Building.In 2024, we organised two specific training sessions in London, UK (July/November) on crisis communications, to build capacity among a lead group of Network members. The Regional Meetings above had a major component of training for Groups on religious freedom/reincarnation rights. Additionally, online training sessions, expert briefings and support were provided on digital security, moratorium on mega development in Tibet, and social media amplification,
