Mission
Founded in 1978, the International Vladimir Nabokov Society exists to promote the study and appreciation of Nabokov's work and awards prizes each year for outstanding essays and books in the field of Nabokov studies. Prizes are awarded for excellence at every level of academic study: undergraduate, graduate, and professional. The IVNS also nurtures Nabokov studies by maintaining a comprehensive website (TheNabokovian.org), sponsoring international conferences on Nabokov, offering travel grants, and forging connections with societies, journals, archives, and museums around the world devoted to Nabokov's work.
