The purposes for which this corporation is formed are as follows: the corp oration is organized and is to be operated exclusively as a charitable, religious and educational organization within the meaning of chapter 180 of the general laws of the commonwealth of massachusetts, as now in force or a s hereafter amended. The objectives of the corporation shall be: to promote the recovery of alcoholics and drug addicts who have been clean and sobe r for at least 30 days; to inform, educate and promote the spiritual develop ment of recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, specifically regarding the nature of their disease and the means by which they can recover with the help of god; to provide temporary housing to recovering alcoholics and drug addicts who are and remain abstinent from any drugs or alcohol; to encourage and develop educational and spiritual programs to these same ends.
