Public policy: crawford county farm bureau board members are proud of their policy development and implementation. Board members attend legislative meetings that involve issues within the county. Opinionnaires allow all farm bureau members to ask questions regarding local, state and national issues. Resolutions are presented at the annual meeting in june where members are present to be discussed and amended. The board approves the adopted resolutions. Board members complete candidate evaluation forms for all state legislative, congressional and state-wide races and their completed forms to the iowa farm bureau committee. Board members invite county supervisors to the monthly farm bureau meeting to visit about the yearly budget for the county. Group of individuals are asked to participate in the fb response team. This gives board members the chance to give their perception on important issues.

Public relations: crawford county farm bureau believes in strong community involvement at the county level. Annually we support the crawford county fair with the sponsorship of the yea (youth experiencing agriculture) display. Plan a grocery grab event during national agriculture week in march to restock the local food pantry. Donate to the crawford county fair with annual programing conducted at the fair each summer. Offer 15% off discount coupons to county farm bureau members to shop at bomgaars farm and home store.

The company has various programs that are aimed at providing information to members on current agricultural issues through newsletters, meetings, etc. 1,051 members were benefitted in this manner during 2024.
