Public relations: we promote the young farmers conference, take root workshop, marketing workshops and other activities for iowa farm bureau. We deliver thank you cookie trays to area coops during national ag week. We sponsor a pedal tractor pull during the harrison county fair. We donate to the welcome center farmer's market and host a farm bureau day at the farmer's market. We have a drawing for first aid kits during national farm safety & health week. We sponsor a holiday food drive, collecting food donations, and contributing food to the local pantry. We deliver thank you packages to ffa advisors for national teach ag day. We promote pork and beef month by sharing ag facts and have drawings for pork and beef certificates at the local grocery store. We send bomgaar's coupons to all harrison county fb members. We have truck inspection sheets available for fb members. We have a notary service available to fb members.

Public policy: harrison county farm bureau is very active in their policy development and policy implementation activities. Opinionnaires were filled out by members prior to the annual meeting dealing with local, state, and national issues. Proposed resolutions are presented at a board meeting in july with fb members invited to be debated and amended. Adopted resolutions are supported by the voting delegate at the state policy conference. A regional board meeting was held. The purpose of this meeting is to surface county issues. County supervisors and county engineer attend a board meeting in the spring to talk about the budget and subject matters pertaining to the county. Board members regularly attend legislative coffees and other meetings that involve issues with harrison county. The voting delegate attended fb events and talked with senators and representatives. Board members attend fb days at the capitol. State representatives attended local fb meeting to discuss different issues.

The company has various programs that are aimed at providing information to members on current agricultural issues through newsletters, meetings, etc. 1,104 members were benefitted in this manner during 2024.
