Iowa council of safety management (icsm) - the main objective is to promote safety within the industry. Icsm funds film library purchases, performs vehicle safety checks, and provides complimentary safety consulting to imta members. It hosts the annual truck driving championships.

Lifeliner - official publication of imta - it is a bimonthly magazine distributed to members, additional copies sent to nonmembers or members through subscriptions.

Allied industry division - comprised of suppliers and vendors who work closely with motor carriers. It supports imta activities by volunteering time, equipment and dollars. It is heavily involved in promoting and sponsoring the imta annual management conference.

Towing and recovery professionals of iowa - works specifically with towing and recovery professionals and related vendors and suppliers. They hold regular meetings, publish a monthly newsletter and hold educational seminars. They take part in midwest reg. Tow show, hosting it every three years.
