To encourage careful selection of individuals coming into the iron worker trade & to train apprentices who are now in the iron workers trade; to assist in providing training that will equip them for safe & profitable employment & good citizenship & to further the assurance of qualified iron workers to the employer to the end that the public may receive the best possible work available.
