Its purpose is to create the infrastructure (personnel, supplies, outreach, equipment, accreditation requirements) needed to create a college of osteopathic medicine at iup. In 2022, the office of disease prevention and health promotion reported projections for a shortfall of primary care physicians in pa. The establishement of the college of osteopathic medicine is a proactive response to address this critical need.
