J-life is an organization designed to foster a religious identity of russian-american jews the primary goal of organization is to increase the observance of jewish law and the study of jewish theology by its members the organization's goal is accomplished primarily through an annual trip to israel planned for the summer of each year j-life then builds on its relationships with members of those trips by hosting events usually held in chicago, illinois and surrounding states
