The museum trail is our signature program focused on building an expansive multi-use trai for walking and biking connecting 1.4 miles of pathways to museums, parks, and neighborhoods. The last decade, jhf has served as a fiduciary to reserve private funds for the project to match the city's public funds. This multi-purpose trail will connect the mississippi farmer's market and downtown museums to the mississippi children's museum and natural science museum at lefleur's bluff state park. The trail's phase 1 grand opening was october 10, 2020 and is a great asset to those living in the jackson metro area. Funds were raised to complete phase 1 of an expansive multi-use trail for walking and biking connecting 1.4 miles of pathways to museums, parks, and neighborhoods. Phase 2 of construction is expected to be completed in october 2023 in the lefleur museum district. Our vision is to create a healthier jackson that increases access to outdoor exercise, promotes mental health, and increases the quality of life for our community.
