Provide support and services to those suffering from alzheimer's and dementia-related diseases as well as providing support to their caregiver(s).

Programs

The james l. West presbyterian special care center provides support delivered through in-person and virtual education programs and support groups, on-demand video access, and blogs for families and the community. This support has expanded to the state of texas and several other states and countries. The center started a bilingual program to reach an underserved caregiver population. The center provides free c.n.a. Training classes for workforce development within the north texas community. In addition, the center is the only post-acute care partner with fort worth isd to provide c.n.a. Training to junior-level students. During the 2023-2024 fiscal year, the center provided 184 live education classes that reached 6,400 family caregivers and community members and 1,047 healthcare professionals and students. In addition, the west center offers two weekly support groups that average 166 memebers per month.
