The Organization is a multiracial, grassroots organization led by concerned seniors in the Chicago metropolitan area, and crosses neighborhood, racial, religious, and socioeconomic lines to find common ground upon which to act.

Healthcare and economic justice: the healthcare and economic justice committee of the organization works on issues of retirement security, minimum and living wage, and healthcare issues. Historically, the committee also worked on nursing home reform and raising the minimum wage for chicago workers. The committee also seeks to strengthen medicare and prevent the expansion of medicare privatization.

Civic Engagement and Movement Politics: Voter registration is a critical piece of the Organization's mission. The Organization believes that everyone in its community who is eligible to register to vote should have the opportunity to do so. The Organization's motto is Value your vote, vote your values.

Leadership Development: Develops and implements leadership development, organizing, and racial justice training opportunities, including training on the popular education cycle, power, self-interest, effective meetings, relational meetings, structural racism, and other advanced leadership trainings. The program offers participants one-on-one training with the Organization's members to develop their campaign and leadership skills.
