Jersey Village High School Band And Orchestra Parent Organization

Provided the supplies and necessary program requirements for the fall marching show not provided by district funding. Included individual supplies for each marching band student (200 students) plus general show expenses such as show music, show props, show supplies and marching contest entry fees.

Provided supplemental percussion training to 20 students via a percussion specific summer band camp and training with percussion specific consultants throughout the year.

Provided meals to 200 marching band members on days of performances and contests.

Provided a travel experience incorporating a unique educational band/guard opportunity/training for 150 band/guard members.

Covered competition expenses for 200 band students participating in concert band competitions including region band competitions and solo & ensemble competitions. Included uniform care necessary for district UIL competition.

Provide various membership benefits including leadership camp, symphony event and banquet/award event that support active student participation in self improvement.

Covered expenses related to special acknowledgement of 50 senior band and guard students for their time and commitment to the band/guard program. Also provided senior scholarships for 9 senior band/guard students: 2 board funded scholarships and 7 community funded scholarships.
