Cross Culture Network, Ethiopia Project and Operation Christmas Child This aspect of JWI ministers to international students in our geographical area. Through this outreach to local campuses, JWI touches the lives of students from many countries. The students come from across the globe, but are mostly from countries in Asia, Africa, Central America and South America. By assisting international students in navigating through the process of finding apartments and related household needs, Cross Culture Network connects with students in meaningful ways. The students are invited to join in dinner parties, trips and conferences that give opportunities to develop relationships and share the Gospel with them. Joshuas Way is also the local center for collection and distribution of the shoebox gifts. Due to the effects of COVID-19, the pace of UVP surgeries slowed considerably. However, we anticipate this situation changing and UVP surgeries increasing in number as well as our support during the coming fiscal year.
Teaching Ministry Joshuas Way provides courses and seminars to give lay people a deeper understanding of the Scriptures and Christian faith and to encourage them to minister in the community. This includes but is not limited to providing resources in the form of a library and computer software training. Personal development for ministry includes assistance in individual assessments and training where they can most effectively volunteer.
