Empower students to discover their voice, improve academic outcomes, and engage in self-directed learning through project-based storytelling.
Programs
3 programs
Effective communicators, which helps students develop academically through project-based story telling. They learn to collaborate with peers and become better researchers and writers; this year the program grew from 20 teachers to 60 teacher serving more than 5000 student in four western states.
Black student magazine, jlis after-school program, which helps students improve their writing, self-confidence, and to celebrate cultural pride; this periodical is now reaching students in 93 cities across the us through a partnership with the national urban league.
Student voice, where university of oregon students create instructional materials, podcasts, newsletters for the next generation of storytellers.
