Mission

Journey4ward's mission is to ensure that all families have immediate access to meaningful, effective mental healthcare necessary to heal and restore them while helping them through pitfalls associated with unaddressed trauma. We are a resource to victims and families, helping them heal from trauma by providing free services, including trauma counseling for children and adults, judicial support services, community education, and peer-based and ongoing therapeutic activities. Journey4ward promotes prosocial youth activities for at-risk youth, gun violence curriculum, and teaching principles that create nonviolence, leadership, and skills that engage youth to become proactive in the fight against gun violence, ultimately interrupting violence in our communities. We advocate for sustaining a community culture of nonviolence and building community partnerships to support victims and youth.
