Mission

To break the back of recidivism and restore broken lives by providing faith-based discipleship, training, and mentoring for participants inside and outside prisons. Jumpstart partners with the community to disciple the incarcerated and assist returning citizens with re-entry services.

Provision of low cost, safe, and stable housing with access to physical, mental, and dental healthcare to 78 clients during 2024, and more than 600 since inception. Also provided individual case management, mentoring, and financial stability training, as well as transportation to service providers, employment, and shopping, assistance with chemical dependency as needed, as well as opportunities for spiritual growth. Added 4 homes for a total of 11 homes and an opportunity center with space for classroom learning, job training, and community events.

Expenses: $1.3M

Provided job training and assistance with employment for jumpstart graduates participating in the transitional housing program. Jumpstart has developed numerous strategic partnerships with employers that provide residents with opportunities to be hired directly or work first through the accelerator program, incuding its landscaping operation. Participants gain valuable work training and experience. Employment also included jobs in manufacturing, printing, and construction.
