Ja is a non-profit organization providing a series of business, economics, free-enterprise and life-skills programs to enhance the education of young people.
Programs
2 programs
The organization offers two capstone programs that provide simulation experiences following in-class curriculum. In the 2023-2024 school year, approximately 21,817 students participated in ja biztown, a hands-on program that introduces 5th graders to economic concepts, workplace skills, and personal and business finances through a student-sized town created just for them. Additionally, about 13,149 8th grade students visited ja finance park, where they had the unique opportunity to explore their personal financial futures firsthand. (see schedule o for continuation)this immersive simulation helps students build essential skills and explore potential career paths along with the steps needed to achieve them.
3de:the organization also offers 3de, an innovative educational model designed to transform public high school education. During the 2023-2024 school year, 2,930 students across 9 tampa bay schools were enrolled in 3de. Through strategic partnerships with school districts and the business community, 3de connects standards-based learning with project-based education, driving student engagement and academic success. This learning platform uses case-based learning and focuses on key competencies such as critical thinking, effective collaboration, engaging communication, and self-direction, equipping students with valuable skills for life beyond school.
