The Corporation seeks to empower and uplift women in Afghanistan by preserving their artisanal crafts and raising public appreciation of cultural diversity and artistic expression, and to promote other charitable initiatives to enable self-sufficiency and reduce the marginalization of women within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3). The U.S. entity Kandahar Treasure operates from the U.S., drawing on Western resources, markets and donors to serve the needs of the Afghan business of the same name ("Kandahar Treasure") and the Afghan women it employs.
