Kansas Pharmacists Association

The kansas pharmacists association served as an intermediary between state and federal organizations that govern the practice of pharmacy and pharmacists practicing in kansas. Staff and members meet with numerous organizations throughout the year, such as the kansas health policy authority, the kansas board of pharmacy, and national level organizations. The purpose of these meetings is to discuss efficient ways to provide proper and effective pharmaceutical treatment to the citizens of kansas, including medicaid patients in kansas.

The kansas pharmacists association served as the manager for the committee on impaired pharmacy practice, a monitoring program for pharmacists who are licensed in the state of kansas and/or pharmacy students following a prescribed recovery process either by self reporting or referred by authority of the board of pharmacy. This committee allows kansas pharmacists with addiction issues to continue to practice safely and effectively during their recovery period.
