To grow support for cats in our community by (1) finding creative ways to rescue, foster, and find permanent homes for homeless cats; (2) providing a community space where cat lovers can meet, mingle and connect; (3) supporting management of local feral cat colonies (community cats).

(Code:812910) COMMUNITY CAT RESCUE: In 2024 fed, spayed/neutered, fostered, and adopted about 15 cats and kittens in the San Francisco mid-peninsula area via the Community Cat Rescue group of volunteers.
(Code:812910) COMMUNITY CAT SUPPORT: When able, responded to ad hoc needs to prevent cats from becoming homeless, e.g. providing food or medicine, or paid for veterinary care so that owners could keep cats instead of turning them over to a shelter. To compensate for reduced services in local shelters, increased the number of spay/neuter procedures provided for stray cats and kittens found by the public or identified in local feral colonies. Involved approximately 750 requests for help for approximately 2000 cats and kittens.
