Founded on a humanitarian philosophy, the organizations primary purposes include; promoting the general welfare of the developmentally disabled, developing programs for persons with disabilities, and to develop a better understanding of individuals with disabilities.

Rest area program - maintenance of post oak rest area per contract with the illinois department of transportation. Individuals with developmental disabilities are provided training and development through this contract.
