The Corporation is organized to promote and preserve the rural character and aesthetics of eastern Sarasota County which area includes but is not limited to the area identified as the Old Miakka Area in the Old Miakka Neighborhood PlanIn addition the Corporation is organized to preserve and protect the rural lifestyle and rural homesteads in eastern Sarasota County to protect the personal health safety quality of life and property values of and for rural residents of eastern Sarasota County to preserve and protect the natural rural beauty of eastern Sarasota County to protect the abundant wildlife and preserve and connect wildlife habitat in eastern Sarasota County to support and encourage agriculture in eastern Sarasota County to encourage sound comprehensive planning and orderly development as it pertains to rural areas in Sarasota County to prevent urban sprawl development to encourage development to occur under the pre-2050 Plan
