Kingman Boys Club Inc

Kingman offers children educational programs tailored to individual needs, afterschool and summer long daycare, cultural outings and celebrations. It serves up to 100 D.C. children with a professional teaching staff and a committed group of volunteer tutors. Enrichment activities include but are not limited to one on one and small group tutoring, Social-Emotional Learning Development, S.T.E.A.M project- based learning.

Teenagers-Kingman collaborates with local high schools to serve as a host site for their internship and community service initiatives. We also partner with DC government organizations, such as the Department of Employment Services, to provide work experience for youth aged 14 to 24. These initiatives are designed to foster professional growth and support personal career aspirations, offering structured job experience during the summer months. Our partnership extends beyond the summer as we provide meaningful and constructive work experience through the DC Office of Youth Program's Schoo; Year Internship Program, which targets students aged 14 to 21 (grades 9-12).

Athletics - The Club provides opportunities for both boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade to engage in a variety of team sports. We offer intramural basketball and football through a partnership with one of the charter schools we serve. we have also been implementing the Girls on the Run DC Program, which is aimed at young ladies in grades 3 to 5. Volunteer coaches lead lessons that combine physical activity with development of essential life skills, such as managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy. At the end of the program, the team completes a community impact service project and participates in a 5K race together.
