The community services programs at kana improve the lives of alaska natives, american indians, and other eligible individuals in the kodiak archipelago through community-based service initiatives. These include child advocacy centers, child and family services, elder services, workforce and economic development, and other services.

Public safety - the village public safety officer program trains and employs individuals residing in the rural villages of the kodiak archipelego to be first responders in public safety emergencies, including search and rescue, fire protection, emergency medical assistance, crime prevention, and basic law enforcement.
