Kotas mission is to create more equitable communities formarginalized women and girls through advocacy, arts & culture and health & wellness programs. Our work bridges local activismin west harlem with womens issues and social change globally

Health and wellness programming: weekly free yoga for women; breast cancer themed community dinner; queer harlem renaissance walk; maternitea party for pregnant women and new mothers; meditation retreat with harlem wellness center; community potluck; educational and networking meetings for doulas in the community; ancestral doula training in spanish.

Our global agenda included presenting an award from our fund for human rights defenders to haydee castillo, a longtime nicaraguan human rights defender; and a breakfast meeting with the recipient from the previous year, mahbouba seraj of afghanistan. We also were able to cover hospital bills for a female human rights defender in uganda. We continued to use our social media platforms to advocate for womens rights, especially in support of our wider network of
