Programs

1 program

Child placing agency: kvc believes that children grow best in families. Kvc is the largest child placing agency in the state of kansas. Family service coordinators provide service to foster families that includes 24/7 crisis support, continuing education programs, mentoring coordination, support groups and educational publications and forums. Kvc raises funds privately to underwrite an annual weekend conference where approximately 1,000 foster parents, children and volunteers come together to gain education and inspiration from national presenters and experts, network with each other and enjoy family activities. In addition, kvc provides trauma education and therapeutic support to foster parents to ensure a better understanding of children's behaviors and appropriate parenting intervention. 2gen: kvc kansas provides prevention services to families in the northeast, southeast and kansas city regions of the state to prevent out of home placement. Interventions include skill building in the areas of parent-child relationship, co-parenting, and financial literacy.
