Kvc missouri provides residential treatment for children and teens who are struggling with their mental health and need intensive and compassionate care in a therapeutic setting with 24/7 supervision. Treatment is based on each child's unique needs and uses a combination of therapeutic services, including individual, group and family therapy, psychiatric services, and medical services in a milieu setting. Our approach to residential treatment is trauma-informed, strength-based, child- and family-focused, and stresses the importance of building healthy attachments and relationships. Kvc missouri has two prtfs (springfield and columbia), providing high-level children's mental health treatment in a residential setting. It also has residential treatment centers in st. James and kansas city. * during fy24, served 468 youth on 4 campuses and 24 older youth * provided instruction to all staff to begin discharge planning at admission * provided training and rcycpc certification for residential providers

THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HAS NUMEROUS EDUCATIONAL ACADEMIES PROVIDING DAY TREATMENT SERVICES THROUGH OUR K-12 PRIVATE SCHOOLS APPROVED BY THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF ELEMENTARY & SECONDARY EDUCATION. THESE TRAUMA-INFORMED SCHOOLS PROVIDE EDUCATION AND THERAPY TO YOUTH THROUGH PERSONALIZED TREATMENT GOALS; INDIVIDUAL, GROUP AND FAMILY THERAPY; AND SMALL CLASSROOM SIZES. EACH KVC ACADEMY OFFERS YOUTH A PLACE TO HEAL, CHANGE, AND GROW, AND A PLACE WHERE LEARNING IS FUN. IT IS DESIGNED FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS WHO HAVE DIFFICULTY FUNCTIONING IN MAINSTREAM CLASSROOM SETTINGS DUE TO EDUCATIONAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, OR BEHAVIORAL CONCERNS. * Expanded multiple classrooms in Columbia, Lebanon, and Kansas City * Approved for reaccreditation by ISACS (Independent Schools Association of the Central States) at all academies * Enhanced therapies in academies including individual and group, speech/language, OT, music therapy, and ABA therapy * Enhanced trauma informed care for students * Provided transition services for high school-level students to public schools
