Intensive in-home services: kvc provides intensive in-home services to families across nebraska. Therapists and skill builders work in tandem to ensure famiiles remain safe and intact whenever possible. Kvc also works with families to ensure timely and safe reunification. With the use of safe & connected and targeted and individualized interventions kvc works to enhance the safety, functioning and self-sufficiency of all youth and their families served. Kvc served over 150 clients with in-home services in fy24. Developmental disabilities services: kvc provides shared living provider services and assessments for adaptive skills to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities across nebraska. Kvc providers ensure individuals remain safe while providing habilitation to enhance and improve social skills, indepenent living skills, promote community inclusion, etc. With the use of safe & connected, targeted and individualized habilitation and behavioral interventions, services are provided to enhance the safety, functioning and self-sufficiency of all individuals served. Kvc served 61 clients in fy24. Outpatient therapy: kvc's outpatient therapy program provides in-home, in office and group services to youth, young adults and their caregivers to promote mental wellness, social and emotional well-being, and positive caregiver-child relationships. We work to meet the needs of children, adolescents and adults so they feel safe and connected to each other and their communities. Services include a holistic assessment and plan for care that utilizes evidence-based treatment. This program provides: a caring, highly-trained, trauma-informed therapist; home-, school- and community-based services; evidence-based practices such as dilactic behavorial therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy; session days and times that are convenient for the individual and family. Kvc served over 65 families in fy24. Substance use evaluation and treatment: clients served by this program are matched with a substance abuse coordinator who will conduct a thorough evaluation with the client before recommending a treatment plan. Evaluations are supported by standardized, rapid assessment tools that are credible to courts, probation officers and case managers. After a completed evaluation, clients will have access to 24/7 on-call support until they begin treatment. With a safe environment and non-biased, here-to-help approach, our goal is to make the evaluation process as safe and convenient as possible. These evaluations are completed in the comfort of the client's home or out in the community-wherever the client is most comfortable. This eliminates any transportation barrier that may prevent individuals from seeking treatment. Evaluations will always be scheduled on days and times most accessible for clients. In fy24 10 individuals received an evaluation or treatment. Fostering educational success: fostering educational success is a 12-month educational research study that seeks to strengthen students' support systems and aid in family stability by: enhancing communication, facilitating school success, improving homework completion, preventing drop out. Each student will have a dedicated family coach who will work directly with them, their caregivers, and their school to serve as an academic resource, advocate, and liaison to ensure their success. Family coaches provide support in three areas: school connectedness, academic engagement, family functioning. Kvc served 27 youth/families in fy24.
