La Casa Hogar

Adult education - la casas adult education program serves approximately 200 immigrant families annually with esl classes (six levels), pre-ged, language and cultural exchange, and leadership development. The program supports adult learners in building confidence, language proficiency, and leadership skillsequipping them to pursue opportunities in education, employment, and local civic engagement. Funders help ensure that learning leads to long-term self-empowerment.

Early learning center (escuelita) - escuelita provides bilingual, culturally responsive preschool education for children ages 35 who would otherwise lack access. Using the creative curriculum, the program tracks growth across six developmental domains. Parents engage through volunteering and workshops on early childhood development, positive discipline, and navigating the school system. Funders help close opportunity gaps and support school readiness for immigrant families.

Other programs:civic education is woven into all la casa programs. Immigrant participants build knowledge, skills, and confidence to engage in civic lifethrough voter education, public testimony, advocacy, and direct dialogue with elected officials. With funder support, la casa nurtures a more informed, active, and empowered immigrant community.
