Mission
Lafayette elementary school pta supports over 400 students and approximately 30 teachers annually. In the classroom, the pta supports a garden program, science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics education (steam), classroom tutors, and more. The pta also runs different student enrichment programs, student activities, and recognition for students and staff. Out of the classroom, the pta hosts family and community building activities and special events.

Garden science program: the garden program is integrated into every aspect of curriculum, including art, science, writing, and social studies. There is a dedicated classroom and we taught over 120 classes last year, giving teachers and students the opportunity to create and learn outside the bounds of normal class work.
Enrichment program: provides additional, enriching, and educational opportunities outside of the classroom and after school hours.
