Junior race program: the program is comprised of youth athletes ages 6 - 15, participating in a 14 week saturday or sunday program operating dec. Through beginning of april. Enrollment was 112 athletes during the 2023- 2024 season, with competitions on either at home on sat. Or away competitions on sundays. There are 5 competitions in this program. The goal of the program focuses on introductory alpine competition skills, including slalom, giant slalom and kombi techniques. The program is staffed by a year round direct, and seasonal part time employees. We also have several volunteers who participate in the program.
Single track mountain bike adventures (smba): promotes physical fitness, mountain bike development and exposure to competitive mountain bike racing. Team participants and weekly camp participants make up our smba program. We have 429 team athletes in the spring, summer and fall sessions and 152 week long camp athletes. The smba program complements the alpine program for year-round conditioning and athletic opportunities for youth in sports. The programs are staffed by a full time year round director and full and part time seasonal mountain bike coaches.
Alpine age class athlete podium at u14 championships. Freestyle, slopestyle, rail jams - multiple podiums in all events. Sent several athletes to nationals. 3 podiums at youth ski league championship. Created the shred program with nederland elementary school in order to provide a free day of mountain bike instruction or just learning to ride a bike for each grade. Single track mountain bike facilitates the program and provides all coaching. In conjunction with the pta at nederland elementary we were able to get bikes donated to the school for athletes who did not have a bike.
