Buddy packs: this effort provides weekend food for children in grades 7-12 who qualify for the free lunch program at school. They do not get weekend food from the area food bank as elementary children. For some of these kids, the only food they eat is what they get at school.

Duel credit scholarships: any high school student living in poverty can receive duel credit scholarship which pays for tuition and books for a college credit class takes a while in high school. Research show that students who graduatewith college credits already earned are much more likely to continue with college.
