Lake Rabun Association Inc

Community sponsorship: the organization, through its fundraising activities, supports the lake rabun fund maintained by the north georgia community foundation a 501(c)(3) organization. In 2024, the fund awarded eighteen 4-year scholarships ($3,500 per year) for rabun county students attending accredited higher learning institutions, two technical school scholarships ($1,000 per year), and two graduate school scholarships ($5,000 nonrecurring grants). During 2024, the lake rabun fund supported more than sixty students actively sharing $230,299 in annual scholarship funding. In addition, the lake rabun fund donated $120,200 to over fifty charitable organizations operating in the rabun county community during 2024.

Conservation and preservation: the organizations lake clean up days, lake and boater safety training, and educational programs plus the contributions of organization volunteers invovled in hemlock treatment, adopt a trail programs, and roadside clean up contribute significantly to the preservation of the lake and surrounding community for public enjoyment. The organization continues to promote lake and boater safety and environmental preservation programs designed to mitigate the negative impact of wake activity on lake rabun and to maximize water safety for all residents and visitors.

Lake rabun association, inc. Is a nonprofit, social welfare organiation dedicated to nurturing the beauty, serenity and quality of life on or around lake rabun. The organization promotes the conservation and preservation of lake rabun and the surrounding community as an aesthetic, recreational and educational resource for the general public.
