Mission
Lakeside house provides a safe home and a supportive community to people experiencing challenges maintaining mental health and a stable living environment. Through residential services, supportive housing case management, and transitional housing for those experiencing homelessness we help people improve their quality of life, integrate into the community, and achieve their highest level of independence.

Community services another's purpose is a vocational program designed to assist residents with opportunities for employment as well as volunteer activities in the community. Another's purpose has assisted individuals with applying for employment and maintaining employment as well as connecting individuals with vesid. Clients have volunteered through bell ringing with the salvation army and cooking and serving meals at the community lunchbox. Another's purpose also provides indoor and outdoor activities such as camping trips, a baseball trip to new york city and going on shopping trips to malone and plattsburgh. Some of the activities that our clients have participated in are playing board games, going to the movies, playing wii and going bowling. The on-site pantry store continues to operate and allows residents to run a store, selling snacks and supplies such as shampoo, soap, razors etc., giving them the ability to keep track of inventory, handling cash and various other job skills. Another's purpose served 29 individuals during 2024. The community support services program helps individuals in the community who are not formally connected with other services but who may have emergency needs such as clothing, food, transportation and at times financial assistance. During 2024, we provided assistance to 15 individuals.
Care management services our health home care management services continued to grow in 2024. Lakeside house served over 37 individuals in the program. Health home care management is a service that helps connect people to the resources in the community that can help them achieve their overall social, physical and mental health care needs.
Transitional housing services samaritan house, an 8 bed home, serving homeless people primarily from franklin and essex county department of social services districts. Samaritan house provides services to assist people with securing benefits, such as snap, public assistance, social security or any other benefits that they may qualify for. We also provide assistance finding housing and employment. Samaritan house served 47 people in 2024 and had a 99% occupancy rate.
